We review a brief baseline (reading and writing samples if available) and set a plan: priorities, cadence, and how we’ll measure progress without pressure.

3

Portrait of the Tiger Leaf Learning instructor

Slow is a strategy, not a speed.

M.S.Ed • Teaching since 2018 • B.A. in English Literature / Creative Writing

I teach in a deliberate, individualized way--unrushed, relational, and focused on what lasts: confidence, clarity, and the habits of strong learners.

My specialty is literacy. In writing, I help students develop voice, structure, and sentence craft. In reading, I build comprehension and insight through texts that actually interest them. It’s careful work--and it’s worth it.

Since 2018, I’ve taught across a range of learners and settings, including years of remote instruction. I hold an M.S. Ed in General Education and Special Education, which grounds my practice in research-based methods and accessible design. That training--paired with real-world experience--lets me tailor each lesson to the student in front of me, so growth is steady, confidence is genuine, and skills stick.

FAQs

If you don’t see your question here, I’m happy to chat.

Who gets the best results with you?

Families who value depth and continuity. If you want individualized instruction, calm consistency, and clear communication, we’ll likely be a strong fit.

Do you work on both reading and writing?

Yes. I specialize in literacy--writing with voice and structure, and reading with comprehension and confidence. We can focus on one or blend both.

How do you measure progress?

We use short, meaningful checks: writing samples, discussion, and brief targeted reads--plus simple visuals. You’ll receive a short note after each session and a monthly synthesis.

Do you coordinate with schools?

By request. I’m happy to collaborate with teachers and teams to support alignment and reduce stress for your child.

How does pricing work?

I price by partnership, not by minutes. In our consult, I’ll recommend an engagement that fits your goals and your child’s pace. Availability is limited.

Let’s see if we’re a good fit

I keep a small roster so I can give each child real attention. If I’m full, I’m happy to add you to my waitlist.
